In all honesty it depends on when you are ready. It all depends on you. Some brides pick their dress first, before anything else, others leave it till last. There is no right answer. We recommend a timescale of at least 6 months before the big day to allow time for delivery of a gown and then time for the alterations and fittings. A common timescale is 12-14 months to start looking for your dress.
Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
Buying your wedding dress is a truly special experience and we understand that brides want to share this with close friends and family. We welcome you to bring people with you. Our shop does not have a closed door policy however, so please be aware that we may get occasional visitors to the shop and that you may be visible.

All we need is you. We have everything you need for your appointment, but we do recommend to wear comfortable underwear. Also, if you have a strapless bra, this is always useful.
What sizes are your sample gowns and bridesmaid dresses?
Our sample gowns and bridesmaid dresses are between a UK 8 and a UK 16. Please do bear in mind we only have each dress in one size. Many of our gowns are corseted at the back, so a size 18 could still try on a size 14 gown and have an idea of the final look. Equally a size 8 bride can be pinned into a UK 14 gown to see the end look.
